Use

Spunk Lube Hybrid is a great lube for any occasion. Whether it’s playing with your toys, touching yourself with your hands, or having something else touch and penetrate you. The natural feeling of this lube helps aid the process allowing partners to enjoy their pleasure.

As this is a cross between a water based lube and silicone base lube – it combines the the compatibility of water based lubes with the long lasting qualities of a silicone based lube. Meaning, you won’t need to stop to reapply. This slick, but not greasy, tacky, or sticky lube feels naturally like cum without the chunky coagulated feeling.

Options

There are three kinds of Spunk Lube so far. I have reviewed them all now. Check out the Spunk Lube Pink and Spunk Lube Pure Silicone reviews to see what I had to say. (Hint: Pure Silicone is my favorite.) You can purchase Spunk Lube using the banner below.

Ingredients

Forgive me if I seem odd about ingredients. This is because I’ve been trained to read labels. Having a child who is allergic to nuts will do that.

  • Water – H2O
  • Dimethicone - Used as a skin conditioner; it’s a silicone based polymer. It’s rated low on the hazard scale from Skin Deep.
  • Dimethiconol - Used as an anti-foaming agent and conditioner. It’s a silicone based polymer. It’s not rated on Skin Deep’s scale for it’s hazard level.
  • Cyclopentasiloxane – Used as a skin conditioning agent; it’s a silicone based cyclic compound. There is some association that it might be harmful to the environment. However, Skin Deep rates it low for it’s overall hazard and cancer level.
  • Cyclohexasiloxane - Used as a skin conditioner, it’s a silicone based cyclic compound. It’s rated low on the overall hazard scale on Skin Deep.
  • Propylene Glycol - Used for fragrance, viscosity control, and conditioning; it’s a organic alcohol. It’s known to be allergy causing to some with dermatitis. Skin Deep rates it low to moderate on the hazard scale.
  • Hydroxymethycellulose – Couldn’t find the direct link to this ingredient, but I looked up each work inside this word. Hydroxy refers to oxyhydrogen. Methyl cellulose is a chemical compound derived from cellulose. It’s a white powder that will only dissolve in cold water. It’s used as a thickener. It’s non-digestible, but it’s also non-toxic and non allergen.
  • Glycerin – derived from vegetables and/or animals. It’s a natural occurring alcohol compound and lipid component. Known to be allergy causing to some. However, it’s rated low on Skin Deep’s scale. Generally, it’s used in care products as a fragrance agent and conditioner.
  • Methylparaben – used as a fragrance agent and preservative; it’s part of the paraben family. Paraben’s can be allergy causing for some. Skin Deep rates it as low to moderate on their scale.

Compatibility

I’ve had plenty of time to properly test all three Spunk lubes compatibility with silicone toys. I have left the lube on silicone toys for over 24hours with no damage to the silicone toys.

SAM_3300

I’m happy to say that Spunk Lube knows what they are doing with lube. Theyhave made three lubes – 2 hybrid and 1 silicone – that are absolutely compatible with silicone toys! This is a lube you can trust with your toys.

Texture

Think cum! I’m serious. It looks just like cum and feels like cum without that ever getting chunky or coagulated. You get a pump top bottle to dispense your lube. One pump is about a dime size amount. However, a little goes along way as you spread it.

When you begin to spread the lube it thins out. The feeling is very soft and moisturizing to the skin. The lube is slick and thick, but not too thick. If you don’t spread it and tilt your hand – it won’t go running down your entire arm. It slides around, but doesn’t go far. Did I mention it’s not sticky or greasy like a lot of other lubes?SAM_3301

Smell

Going back to the Spunk lube pink – Spunk lube hybrid smells just like Spunk lube pink. This is because the ingredients are the same with the pink having the addition of the colorant added.

What’s the smell? Well, I said glue the first time. And a friend said gak. Either way is accurate because gak is made from glue. This isn’t a gross or overpowering smell, but it’s not the most pleasant.

Taste

SAM_3302

The smell transfers to taste. No, this lube isn’t meant for eating. However, after you apply this lube oral sex might be off the table because of this taste. If you ate paste and thought it was great – go for it! Otherwise, I say wash up first. It’s not a taste that is pleasing to the palate, but it’s not going to totally gross you out either.

Clean Up

Clean up is easy. No soap is required. The lube does bead up when mixed with water, but after a minute or two with rinsing – the lube is gone. No residue left behind. And you can go back to enjoying your task.

Packaging SAM_3299

My lube came discreetly shipped in a box that was discreetly labeled. Inside my lube was in a plastic bag as to protect other items from leaking. The bottle is designed like the other Spunk Lube bottles. These bottles are designed to prevent leaking. They can be discreetly hidden with hair gel or something along those lines as long as you remove the label. Which peels off easily.

Personal Experience

Before Spunk lube – I HATED lube. Most of the reason I wanted Spunk lube was because it comes in PINK! However, after trying the PINK – I was in love. Spunk lube is everything lube should be. Long lasting. Slick. Thick. And moisturizing. There is no greasy or oily feel to it. It just feels natural. The taste and the smell are cons, but if you aren’t going for oral – they are forgivable. Plus, a little goes a long way, so there is no need to reapply. This means your bottle will last longer!

I have yet to find a use Spunk lube can’t do. It’s great for solo with my toys or fingers. It’s great for pegging or use of other anal toys. And it’s great for penetration vaginally and anally. It’s just fabulous.

Rating

  • Overall – 4/5 Stars

I’m rating it four out of 5 stars because it contains Glycerin and Parabens. These are known allergy causing ingredients. Should you have issues with either ingredient…Pure Silicone is for you!
