1000As I write this, I can’t believe I’ve made it to 1000 fucking blog post. In many ways, I still feel like a newbie. I never imagined myself as a sex blogger or a blogger of any kind. In fact, I put off blogging for a long time because I thought “Who’d want to read about me? What could I possibly write about?” Yet, here I am 1000 post into it and still going.

Among my 1000 blog post, I’ve written:

You’ll find more post, but these are my main focuses. I tend to favorite my photography post. These post are probably what I’m most proud of. I started out very shy with my images, but as I’ve grown more comfortable in my own skin – I’ve grown into a person with an eye for erotic photography. Those who comment on my photography seem to agree. I’ve made the Sinful Sunday roundup 14 times since I’ve started participating. Each and every time more rewarding than the last. Recently, I had a fellow blogger comment on my photography saying it has become my “niche” and that they found my perspective raw and refreshing.

It’s always nice to hear that your work is appreciated. Occasionally there are those that come around and let me know how unappreciated my work is. Those are the days that piss me the fuck off. Clearly these people choose to find my site, yet they decide they must leave hateful garbage. I refuse to let these people stop me from enjoying what I do.

When I first started blogging, I had no idea what I was doing. The thought of doing HTML and CSS was alien to me. Thankfully I had many friends to help me along the way. Some friends are no longer around, which is saddening. Some friends are still going strong, which makes me very happy.

The friends I’ve made along the way are what I treasure the most. Friends like Mr. Will, Heaven, Reenie, Bunny, DizzyGirl, Sangsara, and many more of you. I’ve never been good at making friends in real life. I only have one in real life friend that I care for. I hope to make more friends in the future.

The bloggers I just can’t get enough of haven’t really changed. I’ve added some new ones to the list, but I tend to stick with the same few. I admire each one of you and you each give me inspiration:

I wish I made more time to read more blogs. I wish I made more time to comment and show some love to each post I read.

There are three people that I need to take the time to thank. Those three people are DomSigns, Mr. Will, and DizzyGirl. These people have helped me in more ways than one with blog stuff. They are always willing to lend a helping hand and I appreciate the help they have given me.

In my blogging experience, I’ve learned a lot. I’ve grown as a person. I’ve learned more about myself than I ever could have imagined possible. I’ll forever be thankful to my readers, sponsors, and my fellow bloggers for helping me through this journey. Though, there are somethings I wish I’d of known about sooner.

Shortly after I migrated my blog from Blogger to WordPress, I had issues with an affiliate that resulted in me changing the links among post that linked to them. I had to replace hundreds of links manually. That was before I knew about the plugin Search Regex. This plugin sure would have come in handy when I first started blogging. I also wish I’d of known about “NoFollow” links and the plugin that allows me to manage them by categories.

These days, I spend a lot of time working on my layout. Not just mine, but helping others out with theirs as well. I wish I would have known about the Firefox Firebug Extension and Chrome’s Inspect Element. I would have understood CSS a lot sooner if I’d have known about these tools. Now, I’m just thankful that I figured out how to use them and can spend my time tweaking color codes so everything matches. It’s become my preferred method of procrastination.

My words of advice for anyone who is thinking about or just started a sex blog would be – be yourself. This is your space and you should do with it as you see fit. Don’t steal others work and piss off the entire community. Find your own voice. Find yourself. Enjoy what you do. Be able to stand behind your work.
