Old Charleston Cemetery – Scavenger Hunt

Currently, we are living across the street from the original cemetery of our area. This is a long abandoned cemetery that rarely gets any attention except teenagers who sneak off to smoke cigarettes. There are dates on the headstones going back to the original settlers of the area. This area was originally founded in 1807. Therefore, a lot of the stones have fallen down, be destroyed by the weather and/or vandals. By count there are about 25 stones remaining. Here is the view from my front porch….

Last night after some wine; we decided to head over to the cemetery for our first scavenger hunt.

He mooned the camera. He picked standing next to this headstone because the name on the stone is my first name – Rebecca.

This completed our first scavenger hunt. We enjoyed ourselves and look forward to doing more.
